I’m a Holistic Health Coach, Registered Nurse, and someone who previously struggled with my weight, health and fitness.

It all started when ...

Name a diet, and I think I have probably tried it in my lifetime!

The drink all your meals diet, only eat this food group diet, the Atkins diet, count up your points diet, work out doing cardio like a crazy person diet, only eat prepackaged foods diet, and the list goes on and on. Can't recall which diet I was on in this picture, but pretty sure there was one. 

Some were huge failures, some had a fair amount of success, but nearly all had a beginning and ending point.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I was calculating when this particular one would be ending!

Meanwhile, I often felt bloated, tired, hungry, and a huge craving for sweet stuff. All that left me feeling more than a little bit defeated. 

Can you relate?

As a Registered Nurse, knowing a thing or two about the human body, I was also thinking I should have this weight loss thing, feeling good thing, living my healthiest, all wrapped up! 

I was beginning to wonder if it might not be possible for me. 

But then everything changed...

It did NOT happen overnight. BUT

After a LOT of trial and error, many weight loss programs, I finally found a way that worked for me.

One that didn’t include pages and pages of fine print instructions or foods that were so gross I lost my appetite.

One that is easy to follow anywhere that worked for me, and now a lot of other people like me…. eating real food!

In the end, natural weight loss is just a side effect.

The primary results are things like:

  • increased energy, less bloat
  • increased focus
  • Finally feeling good about how your clothes fit
  • Gaining control over how you feel, and your health. 

Ultimately, the number on the scale or the clothing size becomes is tiny part of it.

It is NOT a diet. It’s a lifestyle. 

Because of that, it’s maintainable.

Weight is just a number.  Energy, great health for today and years to come is the true goal.

In my “other” career as a Registered Nurse, I meet so many people struggling with their weight, and their health in general. 

Remember that part about me feeling  embarrassed I couldn’t figure how to solve my weight and health challenges as a nurse?

No wonder.

This stuff isn’t often taught much in traditional medicine, or talked about in healthcare.

And it should be…

It's not just about weight and how you feel now. It's also about setting you up for your healthiest future, so you can enjoy today and tomorrow! 

 

 

 Now I'm my healthiest self, in my 50's, and I want to help YOU reach your health goals! 

My passion for health and wellness and making a REAL impact in improving people’s health led me to obtain my health coaching certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN.) 

Now, I bring together my 20 + years experience as a Registered Nurse ("the traditional side"), a Certified Health Coach (combo of traditional side and a little bit of the "woo side"), as well as my personal weight loss and health journey, to help you reach YOUR health goals.

Wellness is SO much more than a number on a scale. 

 I’m so excited to share what I have learned with you!

Great news, you don't have to give up desserts! You just have to plan for them! :) 

Shhh... Don't tell anyone, but I wasn't a fan of cooking until my late 40's! 

Secret... healthy foods can taste AMAZING!

I'm always looking for easy ways to add protein into my day. Did you know broccoli is a great source?  

If it includes an ocean, I'm there! 

Kind of funny since I live in the Midwest! 

Did you say volleyball? 

I might be 5'5 but I can spike like a 6' player! I will hopefully be playing in my 70's!
